Coalition of Communities at Oke-Ureje, Ado-Ekiti elected new Officers

The Chairmen of all the member-Communities of Coalition of Communities at Oke-Ureje, Ado-Ekiti, on Wednesday February 21st, 2024 elected the Officers that will pilot the affairs of the Coalition for the next Four Years. 

The election, which was held at their Meeting venue at Ifesowapo BOVAS Community, started with a strategic meeting on how to restore light (electricity) back to the affected Communities. 

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Chairman, Otunba Oloruntimilehin Akuntunde appreciated the electorates, for the trust bestowed on him and other members of the executive. 

Otunba Akuntunde affirmed that he is confident that God is on their side. He sought the supports and collaborative efforts of the Chairmen and other stakeholders of the member-Communities to change the narratives and bring positive changes to all the Communities in the Coalition. 

The Pioneer Chairman of the Coalition reiterated that his doors are always opened for positive opinions and constructive criticism. 

Other members of the executive are: Elder Aborisade Ola (Vice Chairman), Comrade John Kayode Ayodele (General Secretary), Elder Atowoju Joseph Olusegun (Treasurer) and Mr. Ojo Sunday (Public Relations Officer). 

Recalled that all the Communities that are connected to Poly Road 2 Transformer have been in total blackout since October, 2023 when the Transformer packed off. 

Addressing the Pressmen after the election, The Chairman of the Coalition, Otunba Oloruntimilehin Akuntunde urged the residents of these Communities to be hopeful while the Leadership and the Stakeholders of the Coalition shall continue with their moves to restore light back to the Communities. 

Until his new Position, Otunba Oloruntimilehin Akuntunde is the Chairman, Ifesowapo BOVAS Community, Ado-Ekiti.
